Teaching Venue

  • Volunteers will generally not be required to teach alone, but this is dependent on numbers registered.
  • All volunteers are required to record their lesson plans and record reflections after delivery, in our online database.
  • A Thai staff member or intern will accompany you (when available), to support your teaching (i.e. translate instructions / activities, when required).

Volunteer Requirements

Childcare /kindergarten

K1 – 16
K2 – 19
K3 - 19 
  • 4 - 6 years old
  • 45 minute lessons
  • number of children will range from 16-20
  • Volunteers are required to run activities using songs, arts, crafts, games, alphabet, and very simple vocabulary.
  • Not required to teach a lot of language, but provide some language building blocks (i.e. the sounds, basic words)
  • TIP: Take MORE than you think you will need

G1.1 (29) & G1.2 (21)
G2.1  (25) & G2.2 (19)
G3 – 17
G4 – 16
G5 – 4
G6 – 29
  • Grades 1-6
  • 7-18 years old
  • 4-29 students /class
  • 1½ lessons
  • 2hrs activities and games

 
  • Lessons must adhere to the curriculum.  Must conduct revision and verbal review at end of each lesson.
  • TIP:  Small group work is effective
