The Buffy Fish Owl (Bubo ketupu), also known as the Malay Fish Owl, and is found in Brunei, Cambodia, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
